That's What Makes It Work.
Most exterminators dump bait and leave. That's why the rodents come back. Here's how we actually solve it.
Built For Spaces Rodents Exploit
Old NYC buildings have countless entry points. Brownstones, pre-war co-ops, walk-ups, basement utility lines, sewer clean-outs. We identify and seal them properly.
Exclude, Then Trap
Traps alone don't solve anything. If entry points stay open, new rodents replace the ones you caught. We close the holes first.
Transparent Pricing
Inspection gives you one flat price. No hourly games, no surprise upsells. What we quote is what you pay.
Local NYC Crew
Our technicians work NYC every day. They know the building stock, the sewer systems, and the block-by-block patterns no out-of-town chain understands.
The Species Determines the Strategy
Not all rodents are the same. Our approach depends on what you actually have.
Norway Rats
Rattus norvegicus
Large, ground-dwelling rats that burrow under slabs, in yards, and alongside sewer lines. Dominant throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Heavy presence in subway-adjacent blocks and restaurant corridors.
Learn MoreRoof Rats
Rattus rattus
Smaller, agile climbers that nest in attics, cornices, and upper floors. More common in Queens and Staten Island residential areas with heavy tree cover. Often enter through roof vents and soffits.
Learn MoreHouse Mice
Mus musculus
Small gray mice that squeeze through dime-sized holes and breed constantly. Infest kitchens, wall voids, and stored-food areas. Present in every borough, every neighborhood, every building type.
Learn MoreDeer Mice
Peromyscus maniculatus
Less common in dense urban cores but seen in outer-borough homes near parks and green spaces. Carry hantavirus and other serious diseases. Careful removal is strongly recommended.
Learn MoreEach species needs a different plan. Our inspection identifies exactly what you have.
Why NYC Homes Have More Rodent Problems Than Most Cities
New York City ranks among the top three rodent cities in America, and the reasons go deeper than population density. The city sits on a foundation built, torn down, rebuilt, and patched over for four centuries. Every layer of that construction history created gaps rodents exploit.
Pre-war housing stock is the single biggest factor. Buildings constructed before 1940 used balloon-frame construction, which creates continuous vertical cavities inside walls. A mouse entering at the basement can travel undisturbed to the top floor without crossing a single barrier. Brownstones, walk-ups, and pre-war co-ops across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and parts of Queens all share this issue.
Then there's the subway. NYC's underground system is one of the largest rat habitats on earth. Norway rats use subway tunnels, sewer lines, and storm drains as a citywide highway. When a building sits on a block with heavy subway access, rodent pressure is constant. Treatment inside a single unit does nothing if the building itself keeps getting re-infested from below.
Construction disturbance compounds the problem. Any time a building is renovated, a sidewalk is torn up, or a new development breaks ground, the rodents nesting in that space get displaced. They don't leave the neighborhood. They move next door, into your basement, into your walls.
Density creates the final multiplier. Restaurants, bodegas, trash pickup schedules, shared walls between buildings, and garden-level apartments all give rodents constant access to food and shelter. In most American cities, a homeowner with a rodent problem is fighting one nest. In NYC, you're fighting the entire block.
That's why DIY traps and over-the-counter bait don't work here. You can kill a dozen rats in your apartment and have twelve more show up the next week because the entry points are still open and the pressure from outside never stops. The only approach that actually works in NYC is full-property exclusion combined with targeted removal. Seal the building, eliminate what's inside, and monitor for re-entry. That's the entire methodology.
We've built our service specifically around this reality. Every job starts with an inspection that maps the full property, identifies every entry point, and figures out where the pressure is coming from. Then we do the exclusion work first, not last. Only after the building is sealed do we address the population inside.

The questions New Yorkers ask us most.
Most NYC neighborhoods get a same-day or next-day appointment. Urgent jobs are prioritized. Call (212) 555-0123 and we'll tell you our earliest opening before you commit to anything.
Every job is flat-rate after a free inspection. The cost depends on property size, infestation severity, and how much exclusion work is needed. Call (212) 555-0123 for a free phone consultation and we'll walk you through it.
Because they only killed what was inside. If the entry points are still open, new rodents replace the old ones within days. Real rodent control requires exclusion, not just bait and traps. That's the entire job.
We specialize in rodents. Rats, mice, and associated exclusion work. We don't do roaches, bedbugs, or termites because we don't want to be mediocre at everything. Rodents are what we do.
Yes. Every job includes follow-up visits as part of the flat rate. If we need to come back and reassess, we come back. That's built into the price, not an extra.
Yes, all three. We work with unit owners, co-op boards, condo associations, building management, and landlords. We handle the building-wide treatments that single-unit approaches always fail to fix.
Yes. We use tamper-resistant bait stations, sealed placements in areas pets and children can't access, and IPM methods that prioritize exclusion over poison wherever possible. We'll walk you through everything before any work begins.
Usually no. Most treatments don't require vacating. The inspection doesn't require it, the exclusion work doesn't require it, and bait stations are sealed. If anything changes that, we'll tell you upfront.
Local crew, flat pricing, no commission-driven upsells. Franchise chains train technicians to upsell every visit. Our crew doesn't work on commission. They get paid to solve the problem the first time.
Yes. We regularly take on jobs other exterminators have already tried and failed. Severe infestations usually mean multiple entry points were missed and the exclusion step was skipped. That's where we start.
